COMMERCIAL– Projects that involve renovation or new construction of a business or venture
that is done with the sole motive of gaining profit.
RESIDENTIAL - Projects that involve renovation or new construction of individual and multifamily dwellings.
CIVIL / HEAVY HIGHWAY – Large, public infrastructure projects
INSTITUTIONAL- Projects that involve renovation or new construction of any structure that
fulfills a role related to healthcare, education, recreation, or public works

The construction industry requires growth, change, and responsive universal leadership in this regard.

CORPORATE LEADERSHIP AWARD - Ideal recognition will be to an entity that serves as a catalyst for change while cultivating a culture that brings about advancement for the AEC industry. Criteria in Management & Owner Leadership, Demonstrations of ownership, board leadership, and company management diversity, Workforce Diversity , Demonstrations of leadership, company management, and general workforce, Multicultural Outreach & Supplier Diversity ,  Quantifiable multicultural and supplier diversity spend, Community involvement that services DE&I principles and Above & Beyond Economic and social impact outside the immediate.

CHAMPIONS OF PROGRESS AWARD - CRITERIA is Articulating Vision Someone who empathized

with a problem built a team around the idea and helped improve people’s lives and the environment around them. A leader who helped spread change-making among your peers and moved those to find the power you have found. Actions Someone who leads and has taken sustained actions on important DE&I topics that impact the local community and construction industry. Outcomes Someone who helped improve people’s lives and the construction industry around them. They are committed to the greater good of the industry by demonstrating diversity efforts at the next level.

  • WIC Week:  Campaign/Contest/Award (include deadline): Due March 25th

  • There will be 3 awards for each category that will be based on chapter size (small, medium, large). The size will be based on the chapter membership as of March 1st and the chapters will be divided into thirds. There will be four categories for a total of 12 awards. See categories below:

  • “Let’s Build” – hands on construction related activity.

  • “Reaching Out” – community involvement, not just cross-pollination with other associations. 

  • “Marketing” – what forms of marketing are you using – social media, print, screen, etc.?

  • “Innovative” – most creative WIC Week ideas, thinking outside the box

  1. Marketing Star: given to Chapter Member who stands out in promoting NAWIC; 

Dates: The submissions are due to the Region Chair April 14th; Region selections due to National Chair by May 1.

  • March 15th 2022 – Regional Chairpersons must submit all entries  to the National Chairperson.

  • April 15, 2022 – National Chairperson announces winners on or soon after.

CAROL A. KUEKER CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION VISIONARY AWARD

To provide recognition on a national level to an Educator/Advocate who has passion for and dedication to Construction Education. This award recognizes an individual who has worked aggressively to promote Construction as a viable career path through training and education and/or has worked with Associations and other organizations to establish education programs to advance and benefit employees in the Construction Industry.  Deadline March 15th.
